Maricarmen (Mari) became a pediatric occupational therapist because she loves that she can help children reach their full potential through play. She is the oldest child out of four, so teaching others how to overcome obstacles in their daily life is innate to her.
For Mari, the best part about being an occupational therapist is working along with children and their families and celebrating the accomplishments that they have slowly built upon.
Mari is bilingual and fluent in Spanish. She has training in sensory processing and neuro-developmental handling. She is interested in furthering her training in feeding therapy and techniques that can improve her ability to help children with neurological conditions.
